Westlake Village, CA - Steven Lee Habermann

"Hobbs"

January 12, 1964 - August 17, 2025

Steven Lee Habermann, affectionately known as "Hobbs," passed away peacefully at his home in Westlake Village on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the age of 61, after a courageous battle with glioblastoma, with his family by his side.

Born on January 12, 1964, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, Hobbs was the son of Myron and the late Eunice Habermann. He moved to California in 1986.

Hobbs was a devoted husband to Kathleen Harrison Habermann and a proud father to Matthew, Andrew, and Caroline. His greatest joy was spending time with his family—whether cheering at a ballgame, sharing a laugh around the dinner table, floating at the river, or simply being together.

Hobbs dedicated years to his children and community through volunteering with Westlake Pony Baseball and the Westlake High School Baseball Boosters.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; children, Matthew, Andrew, and Caroline; his loyal companions, Parker and Gracie; father, Myron, brothers, Todd (Janet), and Scott of Manitowoc, WI; Tom and Mark (Sandy) of Anchorage, AK; sister-in-law, Christina Harrison of Thousand Oaks, CA.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 4th, at 4:00 p.m. at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Santa Susana, California.
