Sandee Carlson-Kane passed away at the age of 88. She is survived by her two brothers, Harry and Ron Carlson; three daughters, Ruth and Jenn Kane and Beth Hank; son-in-law Bill Hank; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Julia Hank.

Sandee graduated from North High School in 1955 and continued her education at the Swedish Hospital School of Nursing. She devoted her professional career to caring for others as a registered nurse, first at Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis, and then at UCLA. She went on to earn a master's degree in epidemiology from UCLA.

She consistently volunteered her time and talents to numerous organizations. In retirement, her passion for volunteering included working with the New West Symphony League, the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, and the Westlake Village Disaster Response Team, to name a few.

An active member of the Sons of Norway, she valued heritage, community, and fellowship. Her life was defined by kindness, intellect, laughter, giving back, and her love of spending time with friends and family.

Per Sandee's request, a celebration-of-life party was held prior to death.
